$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Job OverviewFull‑time (Mon‑Fri 8‑5) experienced Classic Car Mechanic (lead). 5‑10 years minimum experience with British and classic cars from 1949 to 2012, proficiency with engines, transmissions, radiators, brakes, carburetors, alternators, spark plugs, clutches, and electrical systems. Must diagnose and repair all aspects independently, keeping customers honest and adhering to a strict no‑drug/no‑alcohol policy.
Duties- Lead and mentor automotive technicians specializing in classic car repairs and restorations
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
- Perform detailed repairs on powertrain components, including gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, and drive trains
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, wheel alignments, and welding repairs
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot systems
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and customer specifications
- Provide own tools
- Engine rebuild: 5 years (required)
- Auto mechanic: 5 years (required)
- English proficiency (required)
- Must be able to commute to Mountain View, CA 94043
