This position is responsible for supporting the bike program in Mountain View, assisting with the implementation of employee commute and transportation programs. The Transportation team promotes and encourages reduction of single occupant vehicles (SOV) to include public or employee transit, carpool, ride sharing, bike, walk and other transportation options. This position is onsite 5 days per week.
Job Description- Support coordination of our Mountain View bike program as part of Host's broader commute and transportation offering.
- Rebalance Campus Bikes throughout the working day, ensuring bikes are available at all buildings.
- Unlock all campus bikes in the AM and lock them all in the PM.
- Recover campus bikes from offsite locations.
- Assist with campus bikes upkeep i.e. wiping down saddles, replacing bike number stickers, identifying and pulling bikes in need of service.
- Assist with loaner bike program including bike sizing, helmet fitting, and instructing riders on how to use shifters and brakes.
- Support bike events and classes including but not limited to Bike to Work Day, demo days, and bike classes.
- Provide onsite guest services for the Bike Program.
- Support new bike programming to encourage mobility and a biking culture onsite.
- Complete safety checks for bikes, equipment, and program participants.
- Be present to manage tours, education, bike borrowing/renting, and other programs.
- May perform other duties as assigned or requested by management. Performs other duties as assigned.
- HS Diploma or GED and 1 - 2 years of experience in transportation required. Experience and understanding of bikes.
- Bike shop experience is required:
- Bike sizing and basic bike fitting
- General understanding of how a bike works
- Ability to identify bikes in need of repair
- Ability to work outside in all seasons and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 30-50lbs
- Valid drivers license
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

The minimum salary for the Bike Reba lancer position is $59,000 annually [or $28.37 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Bike Reba lancer position is $60,000 annually [or $28.85 per hour].
The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
