What You’ll Do
  • Build and ship features for the Scoopz iOS app using Swift
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to turn ideas into polished user experiences
  • Help improve app performance, reliability, and overall code quality
  • Learn how to read, understand, and contribute to an existing production codebase
  • Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from senior engineers
  • Debug issues and help maintain a high-quality app experience
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with Swift and basic iOS development (personal projects, internships, or coursework count!)
  • Familiarity with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
  • Basic understanding of mobile app concepts (networking, state, UI)
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of your work
  • Passion for consumer products and great user experiences
Nice to Have
  • Personal iOS apps, side projects, or open-source contributions
  • Experience with REST APIs or backend integration
  • Exposure to app architectures like MVVM
  • Interest in video, social, or creator-focused products

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At News Break, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
