The Staff Software Engineer - Integrations will play an instrumental role in shaping the digital account experience for over 100 million customers and building the identity layer of the internet. We are looking for talented engineers with strong technical and leadership skills who could help build scalable and extensible solutions for our customers to integrate with . The Integration team is responsible for developing and maintaining customer integration processes that ensure a smooth and timely integration into the ecosystem, as well as implementing technical features that drive customer acquisition, enabling the marketing and sales teams to attract and retain customers effectively.
The position will work from our Mountain View, CA office five days per week.
Responsibilities- Proven track record of successfully building and owning distributed systems and services at scale at the enterprise level. Architect, design, and implement scalable Platform Integration solutions to help customers seamlessly connect with the platform.
- Build and maintain event-driven architectures that enable real-time data processing, analytics, and distributed coordination across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define best practices for external and internal integration standards.
- Optimize system performance by designing resilient, fault-tolerant architectures with low-latency API calls and scalable data pipelines.
- Proven experience creating and driving technical roadmaps, working with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other technical leaders to make tradeoff and prioritization decisions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in backend development.
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience building Distributed Architecture Systems
- Event-Driven Architecture (e.g., Apache Kafka)
- Messaging Queues (Apache Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, Google Pub/Sub)
- Micro Services
- SQL/no-SQL (SQL databases such as MySQL or Postgre
SQL and no-SQL such as Cassandra, Dynamo
DB, Mongo
DB) - Real-time data processing (Apache Spark, or similar ones)
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with Platform Integrations in B2B and B2C
- Some experience with consumer-facing applications (eCommerce, Retail, Integrations etc)
- Experience building ETL and Integration tools
- Experience with eCommerce platforms & integrations such as Shopify or Adobe Magento
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Experience with Hashicorp Nomad/Vault/Consul/Terraform.
