Google’s software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Google Home Camera team is looking for an Android Engineer to help build the next generation of smart home security experiences. In this role, you will develop and launch high‑visibility features that allow millions of users to monitor their homes in real‑time.
You will work within a modern Android stack (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) to build responsive, performant, and accessible interfaces. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about mobile craftsmanship, performance optimization, and creating seamless user experiences for complex hardware‑integrated software.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $147,000–$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salaries are determined by role, level, and location.
Responsibilities- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, including style guidelines and testability.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
