As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the AWS Healthcare AI team, you’ll spearhead the complete technical lifecycle, from system design, to implementing robust distributed systems, and developing AI‑powered healthcare solutions. You’ll be working on transformative products that leverage generative and agentic AI to enhance clinical and administrative workflows for healthcare providers. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient care, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

The role requires ownership of end‑to‑end product development, designing reliable and scalable distributed systems, and integrating AI technologies into real‑world healthcare applications.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Base salary range: $ – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
