Samsung Ventures Overview
Samsung Venture Investment Corporation (SVIC) is the corporate venture capital arm of Samsung Group and one of the most active and well‑established CVCs in the world. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Seoul, Korea, SVIC has built a 25+ year track record of backing transformative technology companies at the frontier of innovation.
With ~$3 billion in assets under management and a deployment pace of approximately $200 million annually, SVIC operates across six global offices spanning the United States, Europe, Israel, India, China, and Japan. Since inception, SVIC has completed over 650 investments and more than 115 successful exits, partnering with founders who are pioneering breakthroughs across AI, robotics, semiconductors, cybersecurity, digital health, life sciences, clean energy, and beyond.
Samsung Ventures America (SVA), based in Mountain View, CA and Boston, MA, serves as SVIC’s U.S. and Canada hub. SVA is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and championing investments in high‑growth technology companies whose innovations align with the strategic priorities of Samsung‑affiliated business units. Backed by the resources and reach of the broader Samsung ecosystem, SVA offers portfolio companies far more than capital, including access to Samsung’s global distribution channels, deep technical expertise, and collaborative R&D opportunities.
