- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in Java or C++.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Familiarity with ads systems.
Lead the charge in defining and developing the next generation of AI‑powered shopping features within You Tube Ads. Own a pivotal area, blending creativity with technical expertise to impact millions of users, creators, and advertisers globally.
Be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing novel AI experiences. Explore seamless integrations with emerging e‑commerce frameworks like the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) and universal cart, and craft intelligent and engaging conversational commerce through business agent chat.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product Management, UX, Research, and other engineering teams across You Tube and Ads) and push the boundaries of what’s possible. This role offers substantial autonomy and the chance to build and mentor within a rapidly growing team at the forefront of the shopping domain and advertising technology.
With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions that drive Google Ads and You Tube Shopping services.
US: $262,000 - $365,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits.
