As a Backend Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and optimize systems that power mission‑critical applications. Your role will adapt to your strengths and interests, with opportunities to work across the entire customer journey. Our team is responsible for the customer onboarding, license and entitlements management while they are a customer and the offboarding process. At the heart of the customer experience, we integrate with most internal systems and various external systems including our Sales and Support systems.
CoreResponsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Ensure high system performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Mentor junior engineers or take on leadership roles, depending on your seniority.

Basic Qualifications- Proficiency in Java.
- Familiarity with relational and/or No
SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
- Exposure to large‑scale data processing or event-driven architectures.
- Leadership experience in team projects or mentoring roles.
This role is based in our Mountain View office location. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We’re constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.
Base salary and compensationBase salary range: $176,000 – $242,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
