Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service. The role involves client‑side (web and mobile), server‑side (search, storage, serving) and machine‑intelligence (learning, computer vision) software engineering. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.
CompensationUS: $207,000 – $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM).
- Experience launching ML‑enabled product features, especially to public users.
- Ability to work in a fast‑moving, collaborative, creative environment and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work on innovations at the forefront of technology and with the challenges and unknowns that come with it.
- Partner closely with product, UX, analytics, and privacy teams to refine requirements, define success metrics, and ensure responsible feature launches.
- Be well‑versed in backend and AI technology; have deep understanding to support feature launches, dig deep, and provide technical guidance.
- Execute with extreme urgency and ownership in a fast‑moving environment; maintain a startup mindset to take risks, prototype quickly, and persevere through challenges.
- Nurture a great team culture; lead a sustainable team that helps each other achieve ambitious goals.
