Computer Scientist - Junior

Junior Computer Scientist – NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) – Moffett Field, CA

AMA is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Computer Scientist to join our team in Moffett Field, CA supporting NASA on the Aircraft Systems and Spaceflight Engineering Support Services (ASSESS) contract at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). The work will support the Systems Analysis Office at NASA ARC on a full‑time basis.

• Demonstrate the Cobra C++ OpenVSP custom component in a gradient optimization problem using the CBAERO‑adjoint solver within NASA Ames Open‑Source Condor Optimization software.

• Prior experience with and knowledge of Condor and Gascon (highly preferred).
• Strong experience with Git repositories, C++, and Python.

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science.
• Demonstrated experience in Python programming.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay range: $85,000 – $115,000, depending on education and experience.

US citizenship is required.
