3 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.

3 years of experience with Android application development and coding in Java/Kotlin.

• 3 years of experience as a technical practitioner in a developer community.
• Experience working with third parties or partners, and with mobile SDKs and libraries.
• Experience with Media, Camera, or Android System UI APIs (such as Notifications and Widgets).
• Experience writing blogs, technical documentation, or articles for developer communities, or contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience in technical consulting, support, or developer relations roles.

In Developer Relations, we collaborate and connect with the communities that love technology. As a Developer Relations Engineer, you will act as the customer zero for platform features, partnering with product and engineering teams to provide technical feedback and shape developer-facing tools.

You will contribute code samples, documentation, and codelabs to establish clear paths for Android developers worldwide and collaborate with strategic partners to solve complex code problems, drive adoption of key integrations, and elevate critical developer journeys.

You will help shape the future of developer productivity by contributing to our AI-powered developer experience.

• Act as "customer zero" for upcoming platform features, providing early technical feedback to internal product and engineering teams to shape developer tools.
• Partner with Google’s strategic mobile developers and ecosystem partners to drive adoption of core Android APIs and platform integrations.
• Develop and contribute high-quality code samples, documentation, and codelabs to build clear paths for Android developers globally.
• Consult with external partners via regular technical reviews to help design systems, debug complex code, and optimize user experience at a scale of millions of users.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Business Development, to advocate for partner needs internally and influence the product roadmap.

Salary: US: $138,000 - $198,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
