Development Engineer III – Test Infrastructure

Level: SDE III (Individual Contributor)

Department: Quality Engineering

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

Position Overview

As a Software Development Engineer III on the Quality Engineering team, you will build and maintain automation frameworks and testing infrastructure that give  engineering teams the confidence to ship quickly and safely. • Develop end-to-end and integration tests for complex, asynchronous, event-driven, and eventually-consistent systems, including workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal.
  • Support testing-in-production practices, including canary deployments, progressive/phased rollouts, synthetic monitoring, and automated rollback triggers, to help validate real-world behavior safely before full release.
  • Build and maintain test automation for commerce and marketplace surfaces, such as offers, cashback, affiliate/attribution and click-tracking accuracy, consent gates, and persona-based experiences (e.g., logged-in/out, member-group-specific offers), including client-side surfaces like browser extensions.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Hub Actions), contributing to reusable/shared workflow components that other service teams can…
