Robotics Lab Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Robotics Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic organization of our advanced robotics facility. This critical service role ensures the lab is functioning optimally, safely, and efficiently. You will be responsible for inventory control, space management, maintaining regulatory compliance, and serving as the primary resource for operational training and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding, cataloging, and managing all hardware, component, and physical inventory associated with the lab
  • Facilitating and organizing lab spaces to ensure optimal layout, cleanliness, and care for all Robotics
  • Managing sensitivities around any hardware or equipment and ensuring that all procedures and policies are followed to ensure no damage or disruption
  • Ensuring all safety measures are in place and followed for all lab equipment
  • Ensuring all requirements to be met and maintained around lab equipment, including maintenance and calibration schedules
  • Training workforce or extended team on safe operation of Robotics at lab on hardware and equipment
  • Conducting experiments on the lab equipment and components and triaging the issues
  • Developing and maintaining processes and best practices for the lab personnel

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a laboratory, manufacturing, or technical facility management role, preferably within a robotics or engineering environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience with asset tracking, inventory control systems, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and experience ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
  • Technical aptitude sufficient to understand equipment maintenance needs and assist with experimental setup and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to instruct and coordinate large and extended teams
