Premera’s corporate finance department ensures the Company’s financial information and reporting is accurate and complete and currently has an Accountant opening. This advanced professional has primary responsibility for determining appropriate accounting for the diverse business transactions for the operations of the Premera group of companies. He/she provides technical consultation for multi-company accounting functions for Premera Blue Cross and its subsidiaries, a $3 billion group of companies.
Accountabilities require accounting knowledge, strong analytical capabilities to solve problems and strong technology skills to continuously improve accuracy, workload capacity and process efficiency. He/she exhibits a commitment to our customers by demonstrating excellence, initiative, innovation, adaptability, and teamwork. Primary responsibilities will include coordination and hands-on support with:
General Accounting Support, GAAP and Statutory-Regulatory Reporting, Tax, coordination with Internal & External Auditors, including coordination with OIC (Office of the Insurance Commissioner), and Accounting Process Automation.
