Position
Certificated Teacher – HS/ World Language (French and English Teacher). 0.8 FTE continuing contract position at Mountlake Terrace High School, beginning with the 2026‑27 school year.
Qualifications- Washington State Teaching Certificate with a French Endorsement and an English Language Arts endorsement, or the ability to obtain the required endorsements prior to the position start date.
- Preference given to candidates who currently hold an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement.
- All new employees must complete SIOP and GLAD training within the first year of employment unless evidence of prior completion is provided.
2025‑26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026‑27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized). Placement on this schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certified Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.
Benefits- Health insurance coverage (WA SEBB) is available to employees who are expected to be compensated at least 630 hours per school year. Eligibility for a .5 FTE continuing contract position meets this threshold for the 2026‑27 school year.
- Retirement eligibility is based on work of at least 70 hours per month for five months during the school year. Eligibility for a .6 FTE (continuing or non‑continuing) meets this threshold for the 2026‑27 school year.
