As a
** Software Development Engineer II
** on the IT Applications team, you will support the
** Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
** organization. This team is instrumental in building and maintaining tools that enable providers to exchange electronic claims and eligibility information. You will develop and enhance custom applications in an agile environment while helping drive the future of Premera’s applications platform.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems
* One (1) year of software development experience, knowledge of software development lifecycle, and skills to utilize one or more programming languages* ### Background in
** healthcare
* * or other
** highly regulated environments*** ### Previous experience working in an
** agile
* * team environment* ### Exposure to
** API‑driven
** and
** service‑based architectures*** ### Working knowledge of
** Python**,
** JavaScript**,
** HTML**,
** JSON**, and
** XML.*** ###

Experience with
** X12
* * and
** FHIR
* * formats.### Experience working with
** cloud platforms**, ideally
** Azure
* ** 3+ years of hands‑on experience in software or application development
* Strong proficiency in
** C#
** with working knowledge of **.NET
** technologies* Solid understanding of
** SQL**, especially
** MS SQL Server
*** Understanding of the
** software development lifecycle (SDLC)
** and common engineering practices
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical partners### Familiarity with
** EDI
* * workflows or platforms such as
** Facets
