Purpose of the role- Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products and increase market share.
- Provide sound financial advice and a high level of client service in a branch setting.
- Identify opportunities for cross‑selling value‑added services and client optimisation.
- Deliver sales and maintain an in‑depth understanding of SRM product ranges.
- Assess customers’ needs, financial goals and means to recommend the most suitable products.
- Continuously update customers on new products or changes to existing products and incorporate the implications on their portfolio.
- Validate client details in line with product and regulatory requirements and submit new business through the appropriate channels.
- Conduct due diligence to identify and flag risks.
- Manage capacity to prioritise daily appointments while allowing space for walk‑in clients.
- Maintain client profiles and provide ongoing service and retention activities.
- Send payment reminders, follow up on queries and address potential issues.
- Report on NTUs and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Manage and improve the persistence of client payments for both branch and client.
- Work with clients on alternative payment arrangements and process them accurately.
- Provide service in line with client experience standards, guiding policy cancellations, offering alternatives, resolving inquiries, and escalating when necessary.
- Adhere to compliance and quality standards, keep registration and product knowledge current, capture CPD points, and flag potential fraud.
- Maintain proper records of advice and log all activities per regulations and SOPs.
- Report daily activities through relevant technology platforms and compile data for weekly and monthly reports.
- Support ad‑hoc requests from the Retail Branch Manager.
- Matric (Grade 12).
- RE5 advantage.
- FAIS compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.
- Complete Class of Business training within 12 months of employment.
- Client service.
- Sales and cross‑selling tactics and strategies.
- Regulatory requirements and guidelines for insurance sales and advice.
- Knowledge of insurance products.
- 1 year of experience in sales or marketing.
- Experience with in insurance branches is an advantage.
