JobPurpose
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Lead Sales Engineer for our Material Business Unit, covering industries such as Mining & Metals, Chemicals, Iron & Steel, Pulp & Paper, Cement, etc.
In this role, you will drive business growth and lead sales opportunities across Morocco and assigned French speaking countries in the Africa region with a focus on achieving budgeted order intake, sales turnover and gross profit targets.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Manage and grow Yokogawa’s business across AF4 Region (Morocco and French speaking area).
- Achieve the Sales & Marketing objectives and meet all fiscal targets Order Intake, Sales Turnover and Profit.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC’s, customers and channel partners.
- Take care of installed base and cultivate new business by expanding existing installed base and developing new customer base.
- Understand the market requirements, business development approach and customer needs.
- Uncover identify business opportunities, develop strategies, and lead the proposal process in coordination with internal teams (technical, pre‑sales, engineering, legal, and finance).
- Build a consistent and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Customer relations management and be focal point of coordinating all sales activities.
- Control, manage & update material opportunities in CRM/Salesforce on a daily basis.
- Prepare & deliver documents and materials on company products/services (for example reports, presentations, information packages) for meetings with customers, EPC’s & end users.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
- 7+ years’ experience in industrial automation, process control, or similar technical sales roles.
- Strong understanding of mining, chemical and phosphate industry processes is highly desirable.
- Track record of business growth.
- Fluent in Arabic, French and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Results driven with a strategic mindset and strong business acumen.
- Sales oriented mindset.
- Relations management to create elements of trust with customers.
- Negotiation skills & conflict management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Knowledge of Salesforce/CRM.
- Background in digital transformation or advanced process control projects.
- Familiarity with Yokogawa products and solutions is a strong advantage.
