Location: Mukilteo, WA
Salary Range: $47,840 - $58,240 DOE
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily financial operations in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, works well independently, and takes pride in maintaining clean, compliant financial records. The organization is long-established and operates within a technical, mission-driven industry, having earned multiple industry and supplier awards for quality, performance, and operational excellence.

Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist Role:
The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, account reconciliation, and ledger maintenance. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to resolve discrepancies, and consistent adherence to established procedures and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor payments, monitor applicable discounts, apply required sales tax, and verify federal
- Reconcile vendor accounts and corporate credit card statements; research and resolve discrepancies
- Match invoices to purchase orders, verify coding and approvals, and post transactions to company ledgers
- Communicate with vendors regarding account reconciliation and payment status while maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); U.S. Citizenship required
- Minimum of 2+ years of office administration experience, including hands-on Accounts Payable responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong 10-Key skills
- Proven ability to work independently, problem solve, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
