Job Description
Office Assistant II position: 8.0 hour per day, 180 days per year, with benefits at Kamiak High School. Anticipated start date is September 1, 2026.
Hours:
6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to lift and move packages/parcels up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: Multilingual is preferred. Customer Service/Hospitality experience, Outlook email experience and Multi-line phone experience.

Job SummaryPerform a variety of clerical duties to assist students, staff and parents and the general public.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Provide clerical support, answer phones, respond to inquiries from staff, parents, students and general public; direct inquiries to appropriate personnel; schedule appointments; assist with other duties as directed to provide quality customer service.
- Process various documents, mail, correspondence; responsible for a variety of information record keeping (e.g., fiscal and/or student records), document filing, tracking, data entry.
- May assist with student health needs.
- May serve as designated first aid provider.
- May assist with supervision and monitoring of students.
- Word process, type, copy, collate, sort, file and distribute documents to support efficient operation of school office services.
- Prioritize and organize tasks to meet deadlines, maintain accessibility of information, and complete job duties in a timely manner.
- Comply with District Policies.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient environment.

- Use various software programs related to job responsibilities.
- Complete multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Word processing with accuracy at 50 w.p.m.
- Vocational or technical clerical training preferred.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification (required for designated first aid providers).
- One (1) year of applicable office or clerical experience; vocational or technical clerical training may substitute for work experience.
