Eleven Recruiting is searching for a Project Engineer for a fast-growing aerospace and defense manufacturer, in a hybrid role based in Seattle, WA. This is a high-impact, multi-hat position for an engineer who wants to own technical execution, work directly with customers, and grow into program leadership.

Responsibilities- Own technical execution for active programs, keeping milestones, build rates, and deliveries on track.
- Serve as a key technical and customer-facing point of contact, including running recurring customer meetings.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of early-career engineers, and help mature design tools and practices.
- Partner with leadership on budget and schedule, and grow into quoting and proposal support over time.
- Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks.
- Lead or support design reviews, test planning, and verification activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and risk assessments.
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on solid rocket motor experience (required). Experience with either large or small motors is welcome.
- Typically 5+ years in aerospace and/or defense, systems engineering, or project execution roles.
- Design background strong enough to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills, including presenting technical trade-offs to leadership.
- Experience coordinating between engineering teams, suppliers, and leadership.
- Experience with requirements management.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal oversight.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
