CNC Programmer
5+ Axis Mastercam | Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing | Mukilteo, WA
Schedule:
9/80 schedule, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Key Requirements:
5+ years of hands on Mastercam programming experience
Strong print reading skills and understanding of GD&T
Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines
Ability to read and interpret CMM reports and validate with precision measuring tools
Comfortable troubleshooting directly on the shop floor

This role sits within their Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense division, which designs and delivers mission ready hardware for hypersonic and strategic missile defense systems, spanning payload protection, propulsion, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, shroud systems, and launch systems.
About the Role
The CNC Programmer develops and supports machining processes for advanced precision components. This includes interpreting engineering drawings, designing machining strategies, programming complex toolpaths, and resolving issues directly on the shop floor. You'll work closely with machinists, operators, engineering, and quality teams to improve manufacturability and drive production quality.
Responsibilities
Develop and program machining processes for complex components using Mastercam
Design machining strategies and fixtures for 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines
Own assigned projects from concept through production release and ongoing support
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues on the shop floor
Support and improve legacy part programs and existing production processes
Work with Quality to interpret CMM reports, dimensional data, and inspection results
Use precision measuring tools to validate setups, processes, and corrective actions
Provide manufacturability feedback to engineering and customers
Mentor machinists, operators, and other programmers
Help standardize best practices for programming, setups, and documentation
Support continuous improvement initiatives in machining and CAM workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in a manufacturing related field
Ability to read and write G and M code
