Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

Overview

Cadrex is searching for a Buyer I which under supervision of the Manager of Global Procurement, will be responsible to source, negotiate, and procure materials, supplies, and services cost-effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of integrity, quality, and on-time deliveries.

• Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Continuously monitor and verify materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements.
• Ensure materials availability to support production per the Shop Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production.
• Issue Purchase Orders regarding pricing, terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed to by Cadrex Senior Buyer, Buyer II, Global Purchasing Manager and Director of Supply Chain. Ensure suppliers’ adherence to established agreements.
• Optimize order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
• Maintain integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels.
• Monitor and continuously improve supplier’s delivery and expedite performance. Keep team members and leadership informed of potential issues with delivery.

• 1+ years related experience in procurement, logistics, or inventory preferred.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Associate degree in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or business accounting.
