Facilities Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to basic work orders (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, unclogging drains, patching drywall, painting walls, and adjusting door hinges).
• Assist with routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Change light bulbs, air filters, and ceiling tiles.
• Conduct routine checks of building doors, windows, hallways, and common areas to spot safety hazards.
• Follow safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and proper chemical handling guidelines.
• Set up and tear down furniture, equipment, or rooms for meetings and special events.
• Clean, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, break rooms, and restrooms; empty waste bins and manage compactors.
• Conduct minor landscaping duties as necessary.
• Organize maintenance rooms, track tool inventories, and restock supplies.
• Log completed tasks or enter data into Preventative Maintenance module in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Coordinate with outside vendors or pick up replacement parts as needed.
• Acts as a mentor to participants going through the training program gaining skills in the custodial vocational training program.

Wage Range:

The pay range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.
