Overview
Cadrex is searching for a Buyer I who, under the supervision of the Manager of Global Procurement, will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, supplies, and services cost‑effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of integrity, quality, and on‑time deliveries.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Continuously monitor and verify the materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements.
- Ensure materials availability to support production per the Shop Production Schedule through MRP execution, on‑time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production.
- Issue Purchase Orders regarding pricing, terms & conditions negotiated and agreed to by Cadrex Senior Buyer, Buyer II, Global Purchasing Manager, and Director of Supply Chain. Ensure suppliers’ adherence to established agreements.
- Optimize order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
- Maintain integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels.
- Monitor and continuously improve suppliers’ delivery and expedite performance. Keep team members and leadership informed of potential issues with delivery.
- 1+ years related experience in procurement, logistics, or inventory.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Good problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Associate degree in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or business accounting.
- Onsite.
