Veterinary Lab Technician – Validation Studies

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable animal health organization known for developing innovative veterinary diagnostic and laboratory solutions in Mukilteo, WA.

Location: Mukilteo, WA

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Pay: $30.00–$34.00/hour

Contract: 6 months , with strong potential for extension into 2027 based on project needs and performance

Position Overview

We are seeking a Veterinary Lab Technician to support laboratory validation studies for an innovative veterinary diagnostic program. This role will work with biological specimens in a laboratory setting, including whole blood, serum, and plasma , while supporting testing, sample processing, documentation, and study activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with veterinary laboratory, clinical laboratory, or biological sample-handling experience who enjoys hands‑on laboratory work and wants to contribute to the development and validation of diagnostic technologies.

Important: This position does not require direct animal handling or vivarium access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support laboratory validation studies involving biological specimens.

  • Receive, handle, prepare, and process whole blood, serum, and plasma samples according to established procedures.

  • Perform laboratory testing and sample preparation activities with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Follow established protocols, procedures, and study requirements.

  • Accurately document laboratory activities, observations, results, and sample information.

  • Maintain organized and traceable sample records and laboratory documentation.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and investigation of unexpected or inconsistent results.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and work areas in accordance with established procedures.

  • Follow applicable laboratory safety, quality, and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with scientists, laboratory personnel, project stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Support additional laboratory activities and validation projects as needed.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a veterinary, clinical, diagnostic, research, or other laboratory environment .

  • Experience handling biological specimens such as blood, serum, or plasma strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed protocols and procedures.

  • Comfortable performing hands‑on laboratory work and accurately documenting results.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader project team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and laboratory documentation systems.

  • Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday during the scheduled hours.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidates will have experience in a veterinary diagnostic, clinical laboratory, medical laboratory, research laboratory, or related biological sciences environment . Experience with blood‑based specimens and laboratory validation or testing activities is particularly valuable.

Additional Details
  • This is a new contractor opportunity supporting upcoming validation projects .

  • The position is fully onsite in Mukilteo, WA .

  • Candidates should be local to the Mukilteo area or willing to relocate at their own expense .

  • Interviews are expected to be primarily virtual.

  • The initial contract is 6 months , with strong potential for extension into 2027 depending on project demand and performance.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
