The Warehouse – Receiver at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts of operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and minimizing errors in inventory management and order fulfillment processes. This position involves receiving, checking, and validating incoming materials, and is ideal for someone who is organized, can prioritize tasks efficiently, and is adaptable.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, check, and validate the accuracy of incoming materials
- Enter receipts into computer
- Print receiving tickets
- Identify received materials and deliver for storage/use
- Reconcile pallets
- Weigh outgoing product
- Load outgoing materials
- Put stock in designated locations, as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse, dock, and shipping office
- Scrap handling, including preparation for pick‑up
- Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts
- Report inventory discrepancies
- Pull, package, and ship parts orders according to established procedures
- Track packages as requested
- Apply shipping charges to customer orders for invoicing
- Issue return authorizations
- Consistently achieve shipment of products without delays or returns
- Read and interpret instructions to retrieve, assemble, and prepare products/materials for shipment
- Operate site computerized system and perform required data entry
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements/procedures at all times
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
- Forklift certification
- Sedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally
- Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Fingering: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand, as in handling
- Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
- Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction
- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading
- Repetitive motion: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Office, as well as warehouse environment
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
- Plant exposure to wet, cold, and/or humid temperatures
- Standard office equipment and heavy machinery
