Junior Sub Editor

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Junior Sub Editor to support our editorial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and editing content, collating material for publication, uploading content to the website, and assisting in page layout using tools such as Quark

XPress or InDesign.

This role requires strong language skills, accuracy, and the ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced publishing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Write, edit, and proofread articles, reports, and features.
- Collate content from reporters
- Ensure grammatical accuracy, factual correctness, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Upload and format content on the company website
- Assist in page layout and design using Quark

XPress or Adobe InDesign.
- Write headlines, captions, and summaries.
- Coordinate with writers, designers, and digital teams.
- Meet daily/weekly editorial deadlines.

✅ Required

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in editorial, publishing
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS).
- Working knowledge of Quark

XPress or InDesign.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.

⭐ Preferred Skills

- Experience in magazine/newspaper publishing.
- Basic knowledge of photo editing tools.
