About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Senior Compositor with strong experience in high-end VFX compositing, especially for face-heavy work such as de-aging, face replacement, lip-sync, digital doubles, facial cleanup, and actor enhancement. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for realism, excellent Nuke skills, and hands-on experience with tracking, CG integration, cleanup, beauty work, and facial detail preservation. Knowledge of Keen Tools, Face Builder, Geo Tracker, and mesh tracking workflows is highly important for this role.
Responsibilities
Composite live-action plates, CG elements, digital faces, and VFX layers into seamless final shots.
Work on shots involving de-aging, face replacement, lip-sync correction, digital doubles, and actor performance enhancement.
Integrate facial renders, neural-rendered outputs, CG passes, clean plates, mattes, and tracked elements into live-action footage.
Use Keen Tools Face Builder and Geo Tracker for facial reconstruction, mesh tracking, object tracking, and matchmove-assisted compositing.
Handle complex compositing tasks including keying, roto integration, paint cleanup, beauty work, relighting, color correction, grain matching, defocus, motion blur, and edge integration.
Preserve facial realism, skin texture, stubble, pores, wrinkles, lighting, and continuity across shots.
Work closely with VFX Supervisors, CG Artists, Roto/Paint Artists, Matchmove Artists, and production teams.
Review incoming roto, paint, matchmove, and CG elements to ensure they meet shot requirements.
Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges in face replacement, de-aging, and lip-sync workflows.
Maintain high-quality standards while delivering shots within production deadlines.
Mentor junior artists and support the team in improving shot quality and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional compositing experience in VFX, film, OTT, or advertising.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Foundry Nuke.
Hands-on experience with Keen Tools Face Builder, Geo Tracker, and mesh tracking workflows.
Strong understanding of camera tracking, object tracking, matchmove, facial tracking, and 3D-assisted compositing.
Experience with de-aging, face replacement, digital doubles, beauty work, lip-sync, or facial VFX shots.
Excellent understanding of CG render passes, AOVs, lighting, shadows, reflections, depth, and integration techniques.
Strong knowledge of roto, paint, cleanup, keying, color correction, grain management, and final shot finishing.
Ability to match facial lighting, skin tone, texture, motion blur, edges, and plate characteristics accurately.
Strong artistic eye for realism, continuity, and cinematic quality.
Ability to work independently and lead complex shots from start to final delivery.
Preferred Skills
Experience working on feature films, high-end OTT projects, commercials, or celebrity/actor-based VFX work.
Experience with digital human pipelines, 3D/4D scans, photogrammetry, facial performance capture, or AI-assisted VFX workflows.
Familiarity with Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, or other 3D tools.
Understanding of facial anatomy, digital doubles, neural rendering, and actor performance enhancement workflows.
Experience mentoring junior compositors or leading small shot teams is a plus.
Pay range and compensation package
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a Senior Compositor who can bring photoreal face work to life. This is not a standard compositing role — the artist will work on advanced VFX workflows involving de-aging, face replacement, lip-sync, digital humans, and AI-assisted filmmaking.
The right candidate should be technically strong, creatively sharp, detail-obsessed, and excited about building the future of cinematic VFX with Volum
X.
