Video Editor

We are looking for a fast, creative, and detail-oriented  Video Editor  to join our Lokmat Goa digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing high-impact daily news snippets, breaking news updates, and highly engaging short-form content for You Tube, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.

Because regional news moves fast, you need to be someone who thrives under tight deadlines without sacrificing visual quality, journalistic accuracy, or brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities
1. Daily News & You Tube Optimization
Rapid Editing:  Edit daily news packages, breaking news clips, and political/current affairs updates for the Lokmat Goa You Tube channel.
Multi-Format Exporting:  Seamlessly handle long-form landscape video edits () for You Tube alongside vertical formatting () for Shorts and Reels.

2. Social Media & Viral Content Creation
Hook-Driven Editing:  Edit fast-paced, highly engaging Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts, and Facebook videos that capture attention
Platform Packaging:  Optimize videos specifically for social media feeds—integrating dynamic kinetic typography (on-screen subtitles), sound effects, and trendy transitions.
Content Re-purposing:  Package long-form interviews or press conferences into bite-sized, hard-hitting social media clips

Required

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

2–4 years of experience editing video content for digital news outlets, media houses, or fast-paced digital agencies.
Language Proficiency:  Strong understanding of  English  and  Konkani  (written and spoken) is highly preferred to accurately sync text overlays, graphics, and subtitles with the audio.
Software Expertise:  Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software:
Adobe Premiere Pro (Primary) / FCP .
