Job Description & How to Apply Below
Born in Bombay, Bombay Media is a nimble creative agency that combines speed, curiosity, and craft to deliver standout digital work. The team focuses on building content and strategies that help brands cut through noise and make a lasting impression. Rather than simply following trends, Bombay Media partners with brands to co-create bold, memorable campaigns that drive engagement. The agency values originality and a strong creative point of view, offering talent the chance to work on diverse, high-impact projects.
Role Description
The Sr. Video Editor role at Bombay Media is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves leading end-to-end video editing projects, from assembling raw footage and selecting the best takes to crafting compelling narratives that match campaign objectives. Daily responsibilities include refining pacing, sound, and visual style, collaborating closely with account managers, copywriters, and designers, and ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines.
The Sr. Video Editor will also guide junior editors, manage multiple timelines and deliverables, and contribute creative input on concepts and treatments for digital campaigns. The role calls for hands-on work in post-production, troubleshooting technical issues, and preparing final files optimized for various platforms.
This is an AI-first role — the ideal candidate actively uses AI video tools to speed up production, not just traditional editing software.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience with AI video generation and editing tools is a must (e.g., Runway, Kling, Higgsfield, Hey Gen, Eleven Labs, Pika, or similar) — including AI-assisted rough cuts, voice cloning/dubbing, AI upscaling, background removal, and generative b-roll/VFX.
Strong working knowledge of AI in the post-production pipeline - using AI for footage organization, auto-transcription/captioning, rotoscoping, color matching, and speeding up turnaround without compromising craft.
Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and the overall planning and execution of video projects.
Candidates should possess advanced Video Editing skills, including narrative construction, pacing, and sound integration.
Candidates should possess expertise in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, high-quality visual aesthetics.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and create engaging visual elements.
Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) is highly beneficial.
Demonstrated experience in editing digital content for social media, branded campaigns, and short-form video is preferred.
Strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage tight deadlines are essential.
Experience mentoring or leading junior team members and collaborating within a multidisciplinary creative team is an advantage.
A relevant degree or diploma in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is desirable.
