Position Summary
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer / Technical Documentation Specialist to support marketing, product, e-commerce, catalog, artwork, and technical documentation initiatives. This position requires strong experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, advanced image editing, artwork manipulation, and the ability to create polished technical data sheets, installation instructions, product documents, and marketing materials. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to work independently, technically accurately, visually creative, and comfortable working with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
Create, format, update, and maintain technical data sheets, installation instructions, catalogs, brochures, product literature, and marketing materials, with heavy use of Adobe InDesign.
Develop, revise, and maintain technical data sheets to ensure product information, specifications, formatting, and branding are accurate and consistent.
Manipulate, adjust, clean up, resize, and prepare artwork for print, digital, product documentation, e-commerce, and marketing use.
Design clean, professional layouts for print and digital documents while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
Edit and enhance product images for e-commerce, catalogs, technical documents, advertisements, and sales materials.
Perform advanced photo retouching, color correction, shadow creation, background removal, image masking, compositing, and quality control.
Prepare and organize files for print production, digital distribution, and internal review using Adobe Acrobat Pro and related tools.
Support project tracking, workflow coordination, approvals, and deadlines using Smartsheet.
Use ChatGPT and other productivity tools to assist with drafting, editing, formatting, and improving written content while maintaining accuracy and brand voice.
Collaborate with product, marketing, sales, engineering, and executive teams to gather information and produce accurate, professional materials.
Work independently to manage assigned projects, prioritize tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Maintain organized project files, image libraries, document templates, artwork files, technical data sheets, and version control.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
Three to four years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Hub Spot, technical documentation, product image editing, artwork manipulation, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign required, including multi-page document layout, templates, styles, tables, formatting, and production-ready files.
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop required.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Bridge, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premiere Pro preferred.
Experience creating, updating, and maintaining technical data sheets, installation instructions, CIL, product guides, catalogs, and other technical or marketing documentation.
Experience manipulating artwork for print, digital, technical documentation, and marketing applications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with Smartsheet, Hub Spot, and ChatGPT preferred.
Must have strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Portfolio of relevant design, technical documentation, layout, artwork, and/or product image work required.
Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills.
Professional demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external organizations.
High attention to detail, strong quality-control skills, creativity, and the ability to translate ideas into clear visual concepts.
