Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Actuarial Professional role based in Mumbai. The Actuarial Professional will perform actuarial analyses for life and general insurance portfolios, including pricing, reserving, cash-flow modeling, and profitability studies. Responsibilities include supporting risk management assessments, contributing to regulatory and statutory reporting, and preparing clear documentation and presentations for internal and client stakeholders. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to design and validate financial and actuarial models, analyze experience data, and recommend data-driven improvements to products and processes.
The Actuarial Professional will also assist in client engagements, participate in governance and compliance reviews, and contribute to the development of tools and methodologies that enhance analytic capabilities.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in actuarial science, including actuarial modeling, insurance mathematics, and risk analysis.
Proficiency in statistical and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, actuarial software, basic programming or data analysis tools such as R, Python, or SQL).
Knowledge of life and general insurance products, reserving practices, pricing principles, and regulatory frameworks.
Ability to interpret and analyze large datasets, perform experience studies, and translate findings into actionable insights.
Clear and structured written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical results to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a consulting environment.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including actuaries, finance professionals, technologists, and data scientists.
Progress toward professional actuarial qualifications (e.g., from recognized actuarial bodies) is highly beneficial; a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
Prior internship or professional experience in actuarial or insurance consulting
