Internal PCH team (Marketing, Supply chain, Business Development etc.). Indirect Procurement team. Finance, Admin, Tax, HR Team. Key Stakeholders:
External Legal team of other companies, Legal consultants Reporting Structure General Manager - Legal Experience At least 3 to 6 years of practical experience in a law firm or at least 4 to 7 years of experience as a lawyer in OTC / FMCG/ Pharma company. Competencies - Strong presentation and negotiation skills - able to influence and persuade in decision making processes both internally and externally.
- Commercial acumen - must be able to work with key business partners and put legal analysis in its proper commercial context.
- A good understanding of the FMCG business practices with specific focus on legal and ethical business practices.
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with ability to present legal issues in a manner that is understandable to laymen.
Key Responsibilities - Review, draft, and negotiate major commercial agreements, contracts, legal documents, and amendments to safeguard the company's legal and commercial interests.
- Interpret contractual provisions and provide clear, actionable advice to business teams on rights, obligations, and risk exposure.
- Strengthen, implement, and maintain the legal and compliance framework for the organization/PCH business and its product portfolio in line with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage and oversee litigation and dispute matters end‑ to‑ end, including coordinating with external counsel, preparing case strategies, reviewing pleadings and filings, and ensuring timely updates and effective representation to protect the company's legal interests.
- Proactively identify legal risks and issues, and develop effective strategies, solutions, and mitigations in collaboration with business and legal stakeholders.
- Provide high‑ quality counsel on Business Ethics and Compliance matters, including conducting trainings, issuing guidance, and driving communication and awareness initiatives.
- Identify areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop and implement corrective action plans, and advise on preventive measures to avoid recurrence of similar issues. Essential Qualification LLB from reputed institute
