Head - Project Management; Western

Position: Head - Project Management (Western )
Ampin Energy is looking for a dynamic Project Management Head to lead the end‑to‑end execution of commercial and industrial (C&I) projects across the Western region. This role requires strong site leadership, regulatory coordination, and hands‑on project management to ensure timely, safe, and high‑quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

- Lead complete end‑to‑end execution of C&I solar projects from NTP to commissioning (PAT) across Western India.
- Manage both rooftop and ground‑mount C&I installations, ensuring adherence to technical, commercial, and safety standards.
- Transition to new C&I projects upon successful completion of assigned sites.

Regulatory Approvals & Compliance

- Ensure timely acquisition of all statutory permits, DISCOM approvals, net‑metering permissions, CEIG approvals, and other regulatory clearances.
- Visit government and utility offices as required to follow up on pending approvals in coordination with the EPC team.

Site Monitoring & Progress Control

- Monitor project progress at site with respect to land/roof readiness, utility permissions, and execution milestones.
- Prepare daily progress reports, track schedules, and proactively resolve site‑level challenges.
- Conduct daily review meetings with site teams and head office stakeholders.

EPC Coordination & Stakeholder Management

- Conduct regular progress review meetings with EPC partners to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and agreed timelines.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams including design, procurement, safety, and quality to ensure seamless execution.

Material Inspection & Quality Assurance

- Inspect and verify delivery of key project materials such as modules, inverters, MMS, cables, AC/DC distribution panels, SCBs, transformers (if applicable), connectors, and other BOS components.
- Maintain original manuals and documentation to ensure accuracy during HOTO.

Safety, Compliance & Team Leadership

- Ensure strict adherence to HSE norms, site safety protocols, and compliance requirements for C&I environments (industrial rooftops, operational plants, etc.).
- Lead and manage a team of site engineers and supervisors, ensuring accountability and performance.
- Drive timely project completion in line with approved schedules and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- 15+ years of experience in executing C&I solar projects (rooftop and/or ground‑mount) in India, preferably in the Western region.
- Strong understanding of DISCOM processes, net‑metering, CEIG approvals, and state‑specific regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing end‑to‑end project execution, vendor coordination, and multi‑site project delivery.
- Hands‑on experience with EPC management, site supervision, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, SLDs, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing site engineers, contractors, and cross‑functional teams.
