Insurance Risk Advisory Lead

We are looking for experienced professionals at the   Senior Manager   and   Director   levels who bring deep expertise in   Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), SOX/ICFR, and Investment Process Reviews   within the   insurance sector.

Location:

Mumbai (Candidates based in Mumbai Only )
Lead and deliver end-to-end Internal Audit and Risk Advisory engagements for leading insurance clients.
Manage audit lifecycle including planning, process understanding, walkthroughs, risk assessment, control design evaluation, testing, reporting, and stakeholder discussions.
Review investment and operational processes across front, middle, and back-office functions covering asset classes such as fixed income, equities, derivatives, real estate, private equity, hedge funds, and alternative investments.
Assess and advise clients on Internal Financial Controls (IFC), ICFR, SOX compliance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Operational Risk Management (ORM), and governance frameworks.
Identify process improvement opportunities and provide practical, value-driven recommendations to enhance risk management and operational efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, including CXOs, business heads, and functional leaders.
Lead multiple engagements while ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and compliance with firm methodologies.
Support business development initiatives through proposal development, client presentations, and opportunity identification.
Mentor and develop high-performing consulting teams while fostering knowledge sharing and innovation.
Desired Experience
Significant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, SOX/ICFR, or GRC consulting within the insurance industry.
Strong understanding of insurance operations, investment processes, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
Thorough knowledge of Internal Audit methodology and IIA standards.
Proven ability to manage large client engagements and lead cross-functional teams.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data analytics tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Currently working with a Big 4, leading consulting firm, insurance company, or financial services organization.
Demonstrated experience leading client engagements and managing teams.
Self-driven professional with strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a client-first mindset.
Based in Mumbai or open to working from Mumbai.
