Job Overview

Akuntha is hiring  Electrical Technicians (ITI Semi-Skilled)  for plant and 132 kV substation operation and maintenance project in Nevari, Madhya Pradesh. The role involves assisting in equipment erection, electrical repair, and general maintenance work under the guidance of the Site In-Charge. Candidates should have practical experience with electrical systems, panels, relays, transformer and overhead line work, and field-level maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in transformer, overhead, and equipment erection and related electrical works.
Do general plant maintenance work
Inspect, maintain, repair, clean, install or move panels and relays as per the requirement.
Support maintenance of fire-fighting systems (HVWS), DG sets, and overhead conductor systems.
Perform erection and stringing work for substations and transmission lines under supervision.
Safely climb conductors and substation structures to carry out jumper connections, clamp replacements, and minor isolator/insulator repairs.
Help with loading and unloading of electrical equipment such as CTs, bushings, and switchyard materials.
Maintain substation yards, trenches, drains, pits, and fire-fighting systems in operational condition.
Conduct grass cleaning, leakage repair, excavation, and back filling work as required.
Assist in horticulture and landscaping activities for substation premises.
Carry out all duties as instructed by the Site In-Charge to support smooth O&M operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

ITI or equivalent vocational training in Electrical or related field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in substation or transmission line works
Skill Level: Semi-Skilled Technician

Skills & Competencies

Working knowledge of transformer erection, panels, relays, overhead, and conductor work
Familiarity with fire-fighting systems, Motors, DG sets, and substation operations
Ability to perform basic electrical repairs, stringing, and field maintenance tasks
Physically fit and able to work at heights and in outdoor environments
Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance protocols
Team-oriented, reliable, and disciplined in field operations
