About the Company

Metalpower is a company focused on delivering technical solutions for industrial needs, with a presence that supports customers through reliable service and practical problem-solving. The organization values responsiveness, technical competence, and strong customer support, especially where uptime and equipment performance matter. The team works closely with clients to understand operational challenges and provide support that keeps systems running smoothly. This role sits in a business where service quality, technical reliability, and customer trust directly shape the company's reputation and long-term relationships.

The environment suits people who want to work in a hands-on setting and contribute through field execution, equipment support, and customer-facing technical ownership.

About the Role
The Service Engineer will own field service support for analytical instruments, with responsibility for installation support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer-site issue resolution. The role requires strong technical judgment, steady communication, and the ability to work independently in the field while coordinating effectively with internal teams. Success in this position comes from keeping customer equipment available, minimizing downtime, and ensuring service work is completed accurately and on time.

This is a practical, field-oriented role for someone who understands instrumentation systems and can translate technical knowledge into dependable customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Own field service support for analytical instruments, ensuring customer sites receive timely technical attention and equipment issues are resolved with minimal downtime.
Carry out installation support, commissioning assistance, calibration checks, and preventive maintenance so instruments perform reliably and customer operations stay uninterrupted.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation-related faults, then apply structured troubleshooting to restore equipment performance quickly and safely.
Coordinate with internal technical and support teams to escalate complex issues, share现场 findings, and close service cases with clear resolution ownership.
Maintain accurate service records, visit reports, and parts usage details so service history remains traceable and operational decisions are better informed.
Communicate clearly with customers during site visits, setting expectations, explaining findings, and supporting confidence in the service process.
Follow service procedures, safety practices, and quality standards to protect equipment, customer operations, and company reputation during field work.

Essential Skills & Technologies
Hands-on service experience with analytical instruments, including understanding of installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in field conditions.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation, electronics, and basic electrical systems, with the ability to isolate faults and restore functionality efficiently.
Ability to work independently at customer sites, manage travel and visit schedules, and remain effective under time-sensitive service demands.
Clear customer communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms and maintain professional site conduct.
Working discipline with service documentation, reporting, and follow-up, ensuring every visit is recorded accurately and action items are closed.
Familiarity with field service processes, safety standards, and support coordination that keeps service quality consistent across customers.

Additional Plus
Prior experience supporting analytical or laboratory instruments in industrial, quality, or process environments.
Exposure to calibration tools, service diagnostics, and spare-parts coordination for field repairs and maintenance.
Experience handling customer escalations directly while keeping response time, accuracy, and service quality under control.

What You'll Bring
BE or Diploma in Instrumentation, EXTC, or Electronics, with the technical grounding needed to understand analytical instrument systems.
3–5 years of relevant field service experience, preferably in analytical instruments or closely related technical equipment.
A practical, hands-on approach to troubleshooting, with the confidence to work on customer sites and resolve issues independently.
Strong communication and ownership mindset, with the discipline to document work accurately and follow through until service closure
