Full Time Staff Accountant
Location:
Muncie, Indiana. This is a full‑time position. Cardinal CPA Group specializes in tax, accounting, attestation services, and small business consulting for clients in a variety of industries.
We are looking for a full‑time Accountant to join our team in Muncie, Indiana. We are a public accounting firm looking to add additional staff to assist us with our growing client base. This position has potential for growth within our firm.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Preparation of individual and business federal, state and local tax returns.
- Preparation of payroll tax returns, sales tax returns and property tax returns.
- On‑site field work and preparation of work papers and checklists for attestation engagements.
- Research fundamental tax issues using online tools.
- Preparation of depreciation schedules, including proper classification of assets under GAAP and federal income tax rules.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations, accrual computations and account analysis.
- Perform other essential duties as needed.
Core
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
- CPA license or 150 hours towards the CPA license and demonstrated interest in becoming a CPA.
- 0‑5 years of professional experience.

Location:
Muncie, Indiana. This is a part‑time position during tax season, with flexible part‑time hours after May 15.

Downtown Muncie, Indiana. This entry‑level, part‑time position is open to a current university student for the Spring 2023 semester. It is administrative and technical in nature.
The assistant will perform tasks which may include the following:
- Enter OCR data from tax return documents into a tax program.
- May also assist our clients with Quick Books data entry and general ledger entries.
This position will work closely with our accountants and office administrators to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
