Job Purpose
We are seeking a dependable and professional full- time receptionist to support front office operations at our manufacturing facility located in Muncie, IN. This role serves as a first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and clients, while providing miscellaneous support to the Director of Environmental Health Services and the Executive Assistant in Locomotive Operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an office/manufacturing environment.

Key Job ElementsKey Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional front office area.
- Greet and check in clients, contractors and delivery drivers.
- Notify supervisors/managers when they have interview candidates arrive, and contact departments when they have food deliveries arrive.
- Place food orders for meetings in Area
1. Deliver food to the conference room once delivered and tidy up conference room when a meeting is over. (Throw away any trash leftover from lunch, refill refrigerator with water, soft drinks, and refill the coffee pod holder. - Maintain the PPE (personal protection equipment) room.
- Issue loaner boots, bump cap and safety glasses, hearing protection
- Collect loaned items at the end of the visit and disinfect boots and place back in the boot closet.
- Create new employee badges by entering them into the system and printing them out.
- Help manage call-off log and daily/weekly badge swipe reports.
- Assist with managing the EHS (Environmental Health Services) and Safety drive/files.
- Order safety supplies as needed weekly/monthly, and supplies needed for new recruits.
- Act as back-up for Area 1 Emergency Evacuation Warden (ensures all people in Area 1 make it out of the building and are checked off a list.)
- Organize, scan, and file all new hire and all training paperwork.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable interacting with a diverse group of employees, vendors, and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
