Job Summary
Under indirect supervision, oversee work performed by contractors on AEP electrical facilities.
What you’ll do- Assist with job planning, safety, crew critique, or other tasks as needed.
- Inspect and accept or reject contractor work for compliance to safety, design, construction standards, and construction quality.
- Assure contracted construction projects flow smoothly.
- Resolve customers’ concerns associated with work performed by contractors.
- Document construction events to protect AEP’s interest from future claims.
- Assure contractor invoices are accurate, complete, and reasonable.
- Provide feedback concerning contractor performance to Contract Administration for use in future contracting activities.
- Certify acceptability of contractors’ work for invoice approval and payment.
- Assume other duties as required.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Thorough knowledge of distribution work processes, procedures and safety standards.
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Distribution System Inspector Assoc. or equivalent related experience.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving safety record.
