** The Department of Biology at Ball State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure line faculty position of Assistant Lecturer of Biology to teach undergraduate courses in General Biology, Human Anatomy and Human Physiology for a one-year faculty appointment for the academic year . We seek an energetic, collegial, and student-centered educator who is committed to high-quality teaching and mentoring of pre-professional health majors and biology students.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
** What you'll do and what you will bring:

* Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, or Introductory Biology courses.
* Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of A&P courses.
* Provide academic and professional mentoring to undergraduate students.
* Collaborate with departmental faculty and staff to maintain laboratory instruction that supports student success.
* Participate in departmental, college, and university service as appropriate

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** Master’s degree in biological sciences or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
* Demonstrated ability or evidence of strong potential to teach undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy and Human Physiology.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
* College-level teaching experience.
* Experience using evidence-based pedagogical practices.
* Familiarity with educational technology platforms (e.g., Canvas, McGraw-Hill Connect, virtual labs).
* Engaged in scholarly activity, as demonstrated by publications.
