The Psycho-educational Diagnostic and Intervention Clinic (PDIC) is a university-based training and service clinic housed within Teachers College at Ball State University. The clinic provides comprehensive psycho educational, psychological, developmental, behavioral, and diagnostic assessment services for children, adolescents, adults, families, schools, and community agencies. The PDIC serves as a critical training site for graduate students in School Psychology and related disciplines while providing high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals throughout East Central Indiana and beyond.
The clinic supports Ball State University’s commitment to community engagement, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration by offering assessment, consultation, and intervention services that address academic, behavioral, social-emotional, developmental, and learning needs. Through close partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, families, and community organizations, PDIC contributes to improved educational and behavioral outcomes while preparing future practitioners. PDIC is part of Ball State University’s Interprofessional Community Clinics (ICCs), a collaborative network of clinical and training programs that provide integrated services across disciplines.
The ICCs include programs in counseling, audiology, speech-language pathology, autism services, primary care, and other health and human service professions. Through its participation in the ICCs, PDIC contributes to an interprofessional model of care that emphasizes coordinated service delivery, collaborative training, shared operational infrastructure, and improved outcomes for individuals and families across the lifespan.
The Director of the Psycho-educational Diagnostic and Intervention Clinic (PDIC) is a 12-month professional staff position responsible for providing strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the clinic. The position requires a balance of clinical leadership, student supervision, community engagement, operational oversight, and strategic planning to ensure the continued growth, effectiveness, and sustainability of the clinic. Responsibilities include teaching, supervision, clinical work, and clinic administrator oversight - and will ensure the delivery of high-quality assessment and intervention services while supporting the educational and training missions of Teachers College and the Department of Educational Psychology.

The Director of the Psycho-educational Diagnostic and Intervention Clinic (PDIC) is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the clinic. The Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality assessment and intervention services while supporting the educational and training missions of Teachers College and the Department of Educational Psychology. The Director reports to the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Strategic Initiatives in Teachers College and works closely with School Psychology core faculty to support graduate training, accreditation requirements, student supervision, and program development.
The Director also collaborates regularly with the directors and leadership team of the Interprofessional Community Clinics to advance interdisciplinary service delivery, shared initiatives, and community partnerships. The position requires a balance of clinical leadership, student supervision, community engagement, operational oversight, and strategic planning to ensure the continued growth, effectiveness, and sustainability of the clinic. The clinic director’s responsibilities will include teaching, supervision, clinical work, and clinic administrator oversight.
