Spero Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our awesome team!

Schedule:

4 days/week, Monday - Thursday.

Job Type: Full-time

• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Answering incoming calls and checking voice messages regularly.
• Checking patients in/out and monitoring patient flow.
• Performing urine drug screens, taking vitals, and assisting with patient evaluations.
• Calling in patient medication as directed by Physician.
• Inputting accurate patient information into electronic health record.
• Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
• Performing daily financial summary and balancing payments received.
• Handling cash collection and verifying benefits.
• Reviewing the Prescription Monitoring Database.
• Providing education and resource information regarding medication.

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-3 years experience as a Medical Assistant (or similar role).
• Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred.
• Experience with injections preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
