Palletizer Technician

Position Summary

Set up and operate a palletizer machine to maintain good quality of cans produced (within the specified quality and technological parameters). Ensure smooth operations of production machinery and maintain them in an appropriate technical condition.

• Operate palletizing equipment daily to sort, transfer and stack finished products on pallets for shipment.
• Observe and keep records of any quality issues.
• Supply loading equipment with empty pallets.
• Report any issues with the technical condition of the machine to the supervisor.
• Assist with the control of production and quality specification.
• Have responsibility for any assigned equipment.
• Co‑operate with supervisor and other workers as part of a team and production line.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required.
• Perform any other duty reasonably corresponding with the role.

• Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.

• Lift/Carry 10lbs or less, 11–25lbs, 25+lbs.
• Push/Pull same weight categories.
• Stand, Walk, Manually Manipulate, Reach Outward, Reach Above Shoulder, Climb, Crawl, Squat or Kneel, Bend - consistent with the activity percentages above.
• Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth).
• Sense of Sound – Ability to understand conversational speaking.
• Sense of Touch.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per safety guidelines.
• Mobility to cover an expansive manufacturing environment.
