Electrical Assemblers
Seeking Electrical Assemblers for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Muncie, IN.
Schedule & Pay2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (Overtime as needed) 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM (Overtime as needed)
Pay Range:
- 2nd Shift: $19/hour
- 3rd Shift: $20/hour
- Experienced candidates:
Up to $21/hour
Training:
First 6–8 weeks on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM)
The Assembler is responsible for building electrical panel assemblies and wiring systems using mechanical and electrical skills. This role involves assembling components, installing wiring, reading blueprints and schematics, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble electrical panels, components, and wiring systems according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Cut, strip, crimp, label, and install wires and cables ranging from 26
AWG to 4/0 and larger. - Install wire harnesses, connectors, and electrical components; complete proper terminations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to assemble and modify components.
- Apply correct torque specifications and follow engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and assist with quality corrections.
- Complete process documentation and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures while working around electrical equipment, machinery, rail cars, and locomotives.
- Electrical assembly, wiring, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working with electrical systems, including AC/DC components.
- Experience with measuring, cutting, and preparing wiring for installation.
- Forklift and/or crane experience preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical skills and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and overhead reaching.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, varying temperatures, and heights.
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
