Shift and Compensation
2nd Shift
Monday–Friday
2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Pay: $16.50/hr
Responsibilities- Operate press brakes and other fabrication equipment — including CNC laser cutters, stamping presses, and related machinery — to shape sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Set up tooling and fixtures accurately to ensure precise cuts and bends in sheet metal fabrication
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to guide setup and production
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications
- Follow proper safety procedures when operating machinery and handling hand tools and other equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with troubleshooting machine issues to minimize downtime
- Proficiency operating manufacturing machinery such as press brakes, CNC equipment, plasma cutters, welding equipment, and EDM (electrical discharge machining) tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with CNC programming and setup for precision machining tasks
- Experience with Hurco or LVD controls a plus
- Solid understanding of safety standards in production environments
- Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other quality inspection tools
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques, including tooling setup and assembly
- Basic math skills for measurements, machining tolerances, and process adjustments
