Ball Memorial’s adult oncology progressive care unit is a 25‑bed unit that specializes in the care of hospice/end‑of‑life patients, cancer patients, patients with COPD, and those with weakness due to acute disease. This unit is one of our hospitals’ TBAAM (Team Based Acuity Adaptable Model) units, which consists of an interdisciplinary team that rounds daily with the clinical nurse to provide better continuity of care for our patients.

- Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Education:
The registered nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. - Requires an active RN license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit or department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Exceptions:
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
