SHIFTS:

FT Night, FT Day, PT Day

LOCATION:

Muncie, IN - Ball Memorial Hospital

Part and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus — apply today to learn more! This position is referral eligible.

This 18-bed unit is committed to delivering the best, high quality, compassionate care to multi‑specialty med‑surg patients. The unit also specializes in heart failure patients and cardiac diagnoses, focusing on a partnership approach to deliver excellent care to every patient.

Nursing skills gained on this unit:
  • ACLS required
  • Caring for Progressive level of care patients (stepdown from critical care)
  • Patients going to cardiac procedures
Unit Successes/Designations:
  • Over 6.5 years No CAUTI
  • Daisy & Bee Nominees and Awards
  • Certified RNs
  • Being one of the only designated HF units in the United States
  • Heart Failure Certification

Qualifications
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN);
    Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Education:

    The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
    • Exceptions:
      Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
